Biography

Safaa Hassouna, 26, was a young Palestinian pharmacist from Rafah, Gaza. She was known for her kindness, politeness, and helpful nature, and was deeply loved by her family and community. A devoted wife and mother, she had a three-month-old baby girl named Elyana. Safaa’s promising life and career were cut short during the ongoing war, leaving her family and loved ones devastated by her sudden loss.

Safaa Hassouna was born and raised in Gaza and pursued a career in pharmacy, dedicating her professional life to serving her community’s healthcare needs. She balanced her career with her family life, where she was a loving wife and the proud mother of her infant daughter, Elyana. Her uncle, Dr. Omar Hassouna, who lives in the UK, remembers her as polite, helpful, and cherished by all who knew her. In January, during a family visit, he last saw Safaa and recalls her warmth and kindness. Safaa’s death not only robbed her daughter of a mother at the most tender age but also left her parents, husband, and extended family in deep grief. For her family, she represented hope, care, and the promise of a brighter future, now shattered by the violence of war.
