Mohammad Ibrahim Mohammad Amen was a 51-year-old father from Beit Lahia in northern Gaza. On May 13, 2021, Israeli fighter jets bombed his family’s home in Beit Lahia, northern Gaza, as part of a large-scale, all-night bombardment targeting civilian neighborhoods, homes, and residential towers across the Strip. Mohammad was killed instantly alongside his three daughters—aged 18, 22, and 24—one of whom was six months pregnant. The airstrike destroyed their home entirely, while also demolishing three neighboring houses that had been sheltering 91 civilians. At least 27 other civilians were injured, including women and children. Mohammad’s death was part of a devastating series of strikes that killed at least 36 Palestinians that night.
